We started our school in 2006 as AD Banker of Houston, which was a franchise.
We left the franchise and started our own school, Insurance School of Texas in 2016. We wrote our own study manuals and put together our own practice exams.
Both of which are the most Texas state exam-specific materials available.

Meet The Team
More than 100 years of combined experience
David Lervig
Founder & Main Instructor
David has been in the insurance industry for over 35 years. He has worked for several companies in direct sales, sales management, and corporate training. Over the course of his career, David obtained his LUTCF, CLU, and AMTC professional designations. In 2006, he founded the school to help others find success.
Angela Renner
Office Manager
Angela has been teaching for the Insurance School of Texas for five years. She and her husband, Bryce, owned and operated a successful independent insurance agency in Abilene, Texas for 20 years.
Tim Schroeder
Instructor
Tim has been licensed in the insurance industry for over 35 years, spending most of that time in personal sales and management.
Chris Parker
Instructor
Chris has been licensed in the insurance industry for over 24 years, spending most of that time in personal sales and teaching at Insurance School of Texas for over 5 years.
Mark Wilson
Instructor
Mark has been licensed for over 25 years, he owned his own insurance agency selling both Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance.
