Class Attendance, Rescheduling, Refund, & Access Policies

By enrolling in any course offered by Insurance School of Texas, you agree to the following:

Missed Class & Notice Requirement

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, you must notify Insurance School of Texas at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled start time of the first class session.

Notice provided the day of class, including the morning of class, does not meet this requirement.

Rescheduling Policy

Each student is permitted one (1) complimentary reschedule for the same course, provided that:

  • ISOT is notified no less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled start time, and

  • The reschedule request is confirmed by ISOT staff

Failure to provide the required notice results in forfeiture of the reschedule option, and the student will not be eligible for a refund, credit, or transfer.

Any additional reschedule requests, if approved, are subject to a non-refundable $25 administrative fee per occurrence and are contingent upon class availability.

Refund Policy

All course registrations are non-refundable, except under the limited circumstances below:

Refunds may be considered only for:

  • A documented medical emergency or serious illness (physician’s note or hospital discharge paperwork required), or

  • Death of an immediate family member (death certificate, obituary, or funeral documentation required)

HIPAA Notice:
The documentation requested above is solely for verification purposes and does not require disclosure of a diagnosis, treatment details, or any protected health information. This policy does not violate HIPAA regulations. HIPAA governs how healthcare providers disclose patient information and does not prohibit students from voluntarily providing documentation to a third party. Failure to provide documentation that meets these requirements may result in denial of a refund or accommodation.

Documentation must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days of the missed class.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Personal scheduling conflicts

  • Transportation issues

  • Childcare or family obligations

  • Failure to provide required notice

  • Failure to attend or log in

  • Forgetting class dates or times

  • Failing your licensing exam(s)

All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Insurance School of Texas and are final.

Account Ownership, Agency Registration & Prohibited Account Sharing

This section applies to all users, students, agents, and agency-sponsored registrants of Insurance School of Texas (“ISOT”).

ISOT courses, materials, exams, recordings, and instructional content are licensed for individual use only. Account sharing, impersonation, or misrepresentation of student identity is strictly prohibited. Sharing course information, materials, or access is unauthorized and may violate state insurance education and licensing regulations.

Individual Account Requirement
  • Each student must register under their own legal name.

  • Each student must maintain their own unique account and login credentials.

  • Login credentials, course materials, recordings, practice exams, and instructional content may not be shared with any other individual for any reason.

Agency-Sponsored Registrations

ISOT permits agencies, employers, and licensed agents to pay for courses on behalf of other individuals; however:

  • Each student must be registered under their own name.

  • Each student must have their own individual account.

  • Accounts may not be created or used under the name of an agency, manager, shared office account, or another individual.

Payment by a third party does not alter or waive these requirements.

Name Verification & Classroom Attendance
  • Students must attend class using the same name under which they registered.

  • Students who appear under a different name than the registered name will be denied participation.

  • In such cases, the student will be removed from the class and refunded, and must re-register correctly to attend a future course.

ISOT reserves the right to verify student identity and registration details at any time.

Violations and Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in, without limitation:

  • Immediate removal from class

  • Termination of account access

  • Revocation of course materials and recordings

  • Invalidation of course completion

  • Permanent restriction from future enrollment

All enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of ISOT and are final.

Acknowledgment

By registering for or attending any ISOT course, you acknowledge that:

  • You are the individual enrolling and attending

  • You will not share account access or course materials

  • You understand and agree to this policy in full

Student Responsibility & No Guarantee of Results

Insurance School of Texas provides state-approved pre-licensing education designed to prepare students for their licensing examination. However, successful completion of a course does not guarantee passage of any state or licensing exam.

All students are solely responsible for their own study habits, preparation, retention of material, test performance, and exam outcomes. Insurance School of Texas is not responsible for a student’s failure to pass any exam.

Insurance School of Texas is not responsible for, and will not reimburse, any costs incurred by the student, including but not limited to:

• State or licensing exam fees
• Fingerprinting or background check fees
• Exam rescheduling or retake fees
• Application or licensing fees
• Travel, lodging, or testing center expenses
• Course tuition or class fees following course completion

While Insurance School of Texas maintains a historical pass rate of approximately 90 percent, individual results may vary. Pass rates are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a guarantee of success.

By enrolling in a course, students acknowledge and agree that exam performance and licensure outcomes are outside the control and responsibility of Insurance School of Texas.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Students agree to contact Insurance School of Texas directly regarding any billing concerns prior to initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Initiating a chargeback in violation of these terms may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of course access

  • Permanent restriction from future enrollment

ISOT reserves the right to contest chargebacks using enrollment records, attendance logs, access history, and this User Agreement.

Class Recording Access Policy

For courses that include access to class recordings, students are granted access for ten (10) calendar days only following course completion.

  • Recording access automatically expires after ten (10) days

  • No extensions, renewals, or reactivations will be granted for any reason, including but not limited to:

    • Forgetting to watch recordings

    • Waiting until the last minute

    • Personal scheduling conflicts

    • Technical issues on the student’s end

Students are solely responsible for accessing recordings within the allotted timeframe. Failure to do so does not constitute grounds for a refund, credit, or extension.

On-Demand Course Access & Expiration Policy

For all On-Demand courses, including but not limited to Property & Casualty and Life & Health courses, access is granted for a strict period of ten (10) calendar days beginning on the date of purchase, not the date the student chooses to begin the course.

Key terms of On-Demand access include:

  • The ten (10) day access period automatically begins at the time of purchase

  • Access does not pause, reset, or extend if a student delays starting the course

  • Failure to log in, begin coursework, or complete the course within the access period does not extend access

  • Once the ten (10) day access period expires, all course access is permanently revoked

No refunds, extensions, credits, transfers, or exceptions will be granted for expired On-Demand access under any circumstances.

This policy is clearly disclosed:

  • On the product description page prior to purchase

  • During checkout via a required acknowledgment checkbox

  • In the student’s order confirmation email

By completing a purchase, the student affirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the On-Demand access terms and expiration timeline.

Textbook Purchase, Shipment & Delivery Policy

Certain Insurance School of Texas (“ISOT”) courses include a physical textbook only when a textbook is purchased as part of the order. Textbooks are not provided automatically and are not included unless explicitly selected and paid for at checkout.

By purchasing a textbook, the student acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

Purchase Requirement
  • A physical textbook is provided only with purchase.

  • Failure to select or purchase a textbook during checkout does not obligate ISOT to provide one.

  • Students are responsible for confirming textbook selection prior to completing registration.

Shipment Notification
  • Once a purchased textbook has shipped, the student will receive an email containing a tracking number.

  • Shipment notifications are sent by Monica Perez to the email address provided at checkout.

  • ISOT ships textbooks to the address entered during registration. Students are responsible for ensuring the address is accurate and complete.

Shipping Responsibility

Once a textbook has shipped and a tracking number has been issued, ISOT’s responsibility for the textbook ends.

ISOT is not responsible for:

  • Late deliveries or shipping delays

  • Carrier delays or service interruptions

  • Lost, stolen, or missing packages

  • Packages marked as “delivered” by the carrier but not received

  • Damage occurring during transit

  • Incorrect delivery due to inaccurate or incomplete address information

No Refunds, Replacements, or Digital Copies
  • All textbook purchases are final once shipped

  • ISOT does not issue refunds or replacements for textbooks affected by shipping issues

  • ISOT does not provide PDF, digital, or replacement copies due to lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged shipments

Carrier Claims

Students may open a claim directly with the shipping carrier (e.g., USPS) using the provided tracking number.

ISOT may confirm shipment details upon request but assumes no responsibility for carrier claims or outcomes.

Acknowledgment

By purchasing a textbook, the student accepts all risks associated with shipping and delivery and agrees to the terms outlined above.

Digital Textbook Download Policy

All digital textbooks are subject to a strict three (3) download limit per order.

Once a textbook has been downloaded three (3) times, no additional downloads will be issued under any circumstances.

To access your textbook:

  1. Visit insuranceschooloftexas.com

  2. Click “My Account” and log in

  3. Select “Downloads”

Students are personally responsible for locating and storing their downloaded files. Common locations include the Desktop and Downloads folders.

Claims of lost files, deleted files, new devices, or inability to locate a file do not warrant additional downloads. Three downloads means three downloads — no exceptions.

Second Chance Attendance Policy

Insurance School of Texas (“ISOT”) offers a one-time Second Chance Attendance option to eligible students who do not pass their state licensing exam after completing an ISOT course.

This policy is intended to support students who actively participated, prepared appropriately, and made a legitimate exam attempt.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Second Chance Attendance, a student must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Verified Class Attendance
The student must have attended the originally enrolled ISOT course in full. Attendance is verified using ISOT’s internal attendance records.
Students who failed to attend, arrived late, departed early, or were removed due to policy violations are not eligible.

  2. Proof of Exam Attempt
The student must provide official testing documentation clearly showing:

    • Student name

    • Exam date

    • Exam score

  3. Practice Exam Requirement
The student must show a minimum score of eighty-five percent (85%) on the applicable ISOT practice exam within their student account.

  4. Request Timeframe
Requests for Second Chance Attendance must be submitted within thirty (30) calendar days of the exam attempt date. Requests submitted after this timeframe will not be considered.

  5. Verification & Approval
All eligibility requirements must be verified and approved by ISOT prior to enrollment.
Failure to meet any requirement results in ineligibility. No exceptions will be made.

Attendance Format & Fee
  • Second Chance Attendance is mandatory in-person

  • Discounted fee: $100

  • Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable

  • Limited to one (1) Second Chance Attendance per student per course

  • Second Chance Attendance may not be combined with any other discounts, promotions, credits, or offers

Limitations & Enforcement
  • Second Chance Attendance applies only to the same course and license line originally completed

  • Second Chance Attendance may not be transferred to another course, license type, or student

  • ISOT reserves the right to verify:

    • Student identity

    • Account activity

    • Practice exam completion history

    • Attendance records

Use of another individual’s account, exam results, or documentation will result in immediate disqualification.

Misrepresentation & Fraud

Any misrepresentation, falsification of documents, or attempt to circumvent eligibility requirements will result in immediate denial of Second Chance Attendance and may result in permanent ineligibility for discounted enrollment.

Final Determination

All Second Chance Attendance determinations are made at the sole discretion of Insurance School of Texas and are final.

If a student does not pass the licensing exam after Second Chance Attendance, any future retakes require full payment at standard course rates.

Media Release & Filming Policy

Insurance School of Texas may photograph or record instructors, course content, and classroom activity for educational and marketing purposes.

On Day 1 of class, students will be provided a Media Consent Form allowing them to indicate their preferences. ISOT will make reasonable efforts to honor those preferences; however, incidental appearances in wide or background shots may still occur.

Opting out does not prohibit ISOT from filming instructors or general classroom activity.

Code of Conduct & Dismissal Policy

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Disruptive, disrespectful, or inattentive behavior, including sleeping during class
• Talking over instructors or other students
• Harassment, intimidation, threats, or offensive or inappropriate language
• Failure to follow instructor or staff instructions
• Excessive use of phones or electronic devices unrelated to coursework
• Unauthorized audio or video recording, screenshots, or distribution of course materials
• Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Endangering the safety of oneself or others
• Impersonation or allowing another individual to attend in place of the registered student
• Sharing course access, logins, or materials without authorization
• Chronic tardiness, early departure, or excessive breaks that disrupt instruction

Insurance School of Texas reserves the right to remove and dismiss any student from a course for violations of this policy. Dismissal may occur immediately and without warning.

All dismissals are final and are not eligible for refunds, credits, transfers, or rescheduling.

Licensure & Exam Disclaimer

Completion of an Insurance School of Texas course does not guarantee licensure, examination passage, or employment. Students are solely responsible for meeting all Texas Department of Insurance requirements.

Technology Responsibility

Students are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate devices, internet access, and technical capability to access ISOT’s materials. Technical issues on the student’s end do not warrant refunds, extensions, or exceptions.
