How do I enroll in a class?
Visit www.insuranceschooloftexas.com, choose your course (Property & Casualty or Life & Health), select your preferred date and format (in-person or live webinar), and check out online. You’ll receive a confirmation email after registering.

What’s the difference between in-person and webinar classes?
In-person classes are held at our Kingwood location. Webinar classes are live on Zoom with the same instructor and materials, just online.

Do I get a textbook?
Yes! In-person students have the option to receive a physical textbook on the first day of class or have one shipped to them. Webinar students can ship a physical book or receive a PDF download before class begins.

What’s included in the course?
For In-Person and Zoom Classes: you get state-approved materials, live instruction, and help preparing for your license exam. Some packages also include practice exams and review webinars.

What do I need to bring to class?
Bring your textbook, a pen, water, and a jacket (classrooms can get cold). You may also bring lunch, or purchase snacks onsite.

Do I have to bring my lunch?
Yes, we recommend bringing your lunch. There are also restaurants nearby if you’d prefer to leave during the break.

What discounts are currently available?

We offer two main discounts:

 

• • 10% off for Teachers and Military Personnel: If you are a teacher or active military personnel, you can receive a 10% discount on your purchase. Please present a valid ID to redeem this offer.
  • 20% off for ISOT Students at Homewood Suites by Hilton: All students enrolled at ISOT are eligible for a 20% discount on their stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, located at 23320 US-59, Kingwood, TX 77339. How do I redeem the 10% teacher/military discount?

We are currently awaiting our partnership with ID.me to fully streamline the ID verification process. In the meantime, please call us directly and we will be happy to walk you through the process of showing your valid ID to receive your 10% discount.

What time do classes start and end?
Classes usually run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with breaks and lunch in between.

How long is the course?
Each license prep course is two days long.

Do you offer refunds?
No, but we offer ONE FREE reschedule for the same class if needed. Just reach out.

Does this class help me get licensed?
Yes! We are a state-approved provider, and our classes are designed to help you pass the Texas licensing exam.

Do I take a test after class?
Not with us. You’ll schedule and take your licensing exam through Pearson VUE.

How do I access my PDF textbook?
Please follow these steps to access your digital textbook:

What’s the passing score for the practice exam?
You must score at least 85% to pass. We set this bar slightly higher than the state exam to help you feel confident. Most students who score above 85% on the practice exam are ready for the real test! 🕒 Be sure to set aside about two hours to complete the quiz in one sitting, as it may time out if left idle.

What should I do if I requested a physical book for a class but received a digital copy instead?
